Institute Mission

The Equity Institute brings together first and second year Equity Fellows with Academy staff and experts in the field of educational equity to build Fellow capacity, knowledge, and skills, which transform education, enrich K-12 classrooms, and increase student access, as well as to share best practices and to build a learning community of professionals. The institute offers sessions and workshops that engage participants in learning about new research, tools, and strategies for improving classroom instruction and practices leading to closing the achievement, participation, and inclusion gaps.
